Rice flour makki ki roti

Ingredients to make Rice flour makki ki roti

  • Rice flour : 1 cup
  • White makki flour : 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder to taste
  • Green chilli : 3 chopped
  • oil : 4-5 tbsp
  • Ajwain : 1 tsp
  • Potato : 6-7 boiled, peeled and mashed
  • carrot : 1 peeled, washed and grated
  • Warm water as needed to knead the dough

How to make Rice flour makki ki roti

  1. Mix all the ingredients to a crumbly texture. Now add warm water and knead soft smooth dough. Keep aside for 15 min.
  2. Place a foil paper or polythene sheet on the board. Spread little oil on it and with wet hands take a small ball from the dough and place it on the greased foil and spread the ball lightly into a thin roti with your hands.
  3. Now heat tawa on high flame, pour a little oil on it and slow the flame. Now take foil / polythene on your hands and put roti side down on hot tawa, take off the foil and drizzle oil on sides and over the roti and high the flame and cook it like a patantha from both side.
  4. Serve hot with lods of butter.
  5. This rice flour makki ki roti is very soft and mouthmelting.

My Tip:

****makki atta which i used in this recipe is available in Himachal Pardesh (H.P.)...it is white in color. ****normal makki atta can be used.
