Ingredients to make Warqi parantha

  • all purpose flour 1cup
  • salt as per taste
  • Powdered sugar 1tsp
  • Ghee (clarified butter) 1tbsp
  • Milk to knead the dough
  • ghee 3 tbsp+1tbsp
  • maida 2 tbsp

How to make Warqi parantha

  1. Mix maida, salt,sugar, ghee(1tbsp)
  2. Knead a soft dough gradually adding milk
  3. Keep it aside for 10 minutes
  4. Now roll it in a big and thin chapati brush ghee generously and dust some maida
  5. Fold it to make a square (use ghee and dust maida in every fold
  6. Refrigerat it for about 20 minutes
  7. Follow the previous 3 steps for 3 times. Now roll it very big and cut out 4 parantha using a cookie cutter
  8. Again refrigerat the parantha till cooking
  9. Cook chilled parantha on hot tava on medium low flame till golden brown
  10. Slightly crush between your palms and serve hot with any kind of curry

My Tip:

Do not skip the refrigerating steps.
