Ingredients to make Neer Dosa

  • Dosa rice -2 cups
  • water as required

How to make Neer Dosa

  1. Wash and soak dosa rice overnight or for 2-3 hours
  2. In the morning grind this soaked rice into fine paste with water ( I use soaked water while grinding, it gives nice aroma for the dosa) and salt as per requirement.
  3. Make a batter of pourable consistency
  4. Now keep Iron griddle on heat.
  5. When it is ready, apply oil.
  6. Pour one serving spoon of batter like we do for Rava dosa.
  7. Now close the lid by keeping the gas on full flame.
  8. After two minutes, remove the lid and keep the gas in medium heat and cook till the edges of dosa rise
  9. Now flip this dosa on the plate, leave for 2 minutes, then fold it into half.
  10. Now keep repeating this with the remaining batter and stack one over the other or take one big plate and arrange one opposite another alternately.
  11. Serve these dosa with coconut and grated jaggery mixture or coconut chutney or any non veg curry.
