ABOUT Mixed Veg Parantha RECIPE

Inspired by posts of paranthas by my friend Lalitha Iyer. My family loves all varieties of paranthas.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Wheat flour - 1/2 kg
  2. 2 cups Grated veggies (Carrot,cabbage, Radish, Onion) & chopped green chilli-2, chopped coriander leaves
  3. Ghee - 2 tsps
  4. Whey / Warm water - 1 cup or more as required
  5. salt - 1 tsp
  6. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  7. coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Refined Oil - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a big bowl mix the grated veggies, salt, other spices.
  2. Add wheat flour, ghee to this and keep for 10 minutes
  3. Then add required whey /warm water and knead the dough. Allow to rest for atleast another 10 minutes.
  4. Using rolling pin & board to prepare the paranthas.
  5. Heat a tawa. Cook the paranthas on both the sides using few drops of oil/ghee until golden spots appear.
  6. Serve hot with curd/any raitha, butter, pickle.
