Ingredients to make Banana Semiya Sweet

  • 1 cup semiya
  • 2 cup coconut milk
  • 3/4cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 2 big ripe raw banana /kerela nethrapazham or yethapazham
  • 4 tbsp ghee

How to make Banana Semiya Sweet

  1. Roast the semiya in 1 tbsp ghee and keep aside
  2. Chop the banana into small pieces . banana used should be ripe and sweet.
  3. In a pan add coconut milk , sugar , chopped banana and allow it to boil and cook the banana a bit .
  4. Then add the roasted semiya ,cardomom powder and cook. Finally add the remaining ghee.
  5. When the semiya is cooked pour into the mould in semi-liquid consistency so that when cooled it gets set well. it should not be thick while pouring. if thick add more coconut milk.
  6. Garnish with nuts of your choice.
