Ingredients to make Orange Kheer

  • Full cream milk 2 cups
  • Saffron 1/4 tsp
  • Sugar 1/4 cup ( adjust according to the sweetness of oranges)
  • Sweet oranges -3
  • pistachios crushed 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder 2 pinches

How to make Orange Kheer

  1. Keep the milk for boiling on a low flame. Stirring occasionally.
  2. Get oranges peeled , segmented & deseeded with the thin white outer skin removed.
  3. Always check the milk, it should be boiled for 30 min. After 15 min, add crushed saffron, sugar & cardamom powder.
  4. Boil milk till it reduces to half quantity. Remove from heat
  5. Add orange segments & nuts. Stir well.
  6. Refrigerate for 2-3 hrs.
  7. Serve chilled.
My Tip: Adjust the quantity of sugar. add nuts or raisins according to your taste.
