Pudina Aloo Paratha

Ingredients to make Pudina Aloo Paratha

  • Stuffing -
  • Potatoes - 5
  • Green chillies - 4
  • Pudina leaves - a handful
  • Codiander leaves - a few
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Outer dough -
  • Wheat flour - 2 to 3 cups
  • Maida - 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Water to knead the dough
  • Butter for frying parathas

How to make Pudina Aloo Paratha

  1. Boil and peel potatoes. Keep aside.
  2. Grind together green chillies, pudina leaves and coriander leaves without adding water to form a coarse paste.
  3. Take a mixing bowl. Add salt, jeera, turmeric powder, chaat masala and green chilli paste. Mix well. Add boiled potatoes to this bowl and mash well.
  4. Make equal sized balls and keep aside.
  5. Take another bowl and add wheat flour, maida, salt and water. Knead into a smooth dough. Make equal sized balls just a little bigger than the inner stuffing balls.
  6. Roll the dough ball into a poori. keep stuffing at the centre. Cover the stuffing masala and roll into parathas.
  7. Heat a tawa. Pour little butter and roast the parathas on both sides over a low flame.
  8. Serve hot with curd or any pickle of your choice.
