Pistachio Paan Barfi

Ingredients to make Pistachio Paan Barfi

  • For Paan 1 - cup pistachio
  • 3 tsp condensed milk
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk powder
  • 1 tsp corn flour(optional) If needed
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 4-5 drops edible green colour
  • For Filling - 2 tsp walnut chopped
  • 2 tsp almond blanched and chopped
  • 2 tsp pistachio blanched and chopped
  • Few drop of kewra essence
  • 2 tsp condensed milk
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • Few saffron strands

How to make Pistachio Paan Barfi

  1. Roast the pistachios at medium low heat. Cool and grind them in a grinding jar and make a fine powder.
  2. Now transfer the pista powder in a bowl and add milk powder, sugar, cardamom powder and corn flour and mix well and add green colour and condensed milk. Mix well to get a dough like mixture. If it feels dry, add more condensed milk.
  3. Heat ghee in other pan and on low flame add condensed milk and stir it. Add chopped nuts,cardamom powder,kewra essence in it and stir for a minute. Switch off the gas.
  4. Now take pista dough and take 2 plastic sheets and roll out it in to get a flat sheet
  5. Now cut the sheet in square shape and make a conical shape and add the filling
  6. Now Pistachio paan barfi is ready to serve
My Tip: Don't knead the mixture to much other wise oil will release from pistachio and don't cook the filling for long time otherwise it will become hard.
