My heirloom recipe is here. It's very healthy any delicious kheer for all age groups . We made this kheer on special occasions of Shraddh or Tarpan . This one is very famous and traditional sweet from Gujarat. Made from Milk sugar nuts spices and little rice. We can serve with puris.

Ingredients to make Milk Kheer ( Dhudpaak)

  • Full fat milk 3 litre
  • Sugar 400 gms or you can adjust as ur taste
  • Ghee 1 tbs
  • Cardamom powder 2 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder 2 tsp
  • Basmati rice 2 tbs ( washed and soaked )
  • Pistachio 25/30
  • Almond 25/30 ( soaked into warm water)
  • Chironge 2 tsp
  • saffron strand 8/10

How to make Milk Kheer ( Dhudpaak)

  1. Geeting ready for :
  2. Remove the skin of almond and chopped almond and pistachio.
  3. Take 2tbs lukewarm milk add saffron strand and leave aside.
  4. Wash and soak the rice into water and keep aside.
  5. Start cooking :
  6. Take a hevey bottom deep vessel and apply ghee to the vessel. It helps the milk from burning .
  7. Add milk into the vessel and keep boiling on flame.
  8. Keep stirring continueslly without interval.
  9. Keep this procedure for next 30 minutes.
  10. Now add sugar and soaked rice keep stirring for more 20 minutes without interval.
  11. when it's half add saffron milk and chopped almond pistachio chironge.
  12. Keep boiling for next 5/6 minutes.
  13. Now your milk kheer is ready so remove from flame.
  14. Now add cardamom and nutmeg powder and mix well.
  15. Keep continue to stir it till it becomes cool at room temperature .
  16. Now you can fridge it before serving or can serve as your choice.
