Wholewheat Fresh Strawberry Pound Cake

Ingredients to make Wholewheat Fresh Strawberry Pound Cake

  • Butter 1 cup
  • Sugar 2 1/4 cup
  • Eggs 6
  • Vanilla Essence 2 tsp
  • Curd 1 cup
  • Maida 2 cup
  • Wholewheat 1cup
  • Cornflour 1/4 cup
  • Salt 1tsp
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Fresh Strawberry 400 gms
  • Sugar 2 tbsp

How to make Wholewheat Fresh Strawberry Pound Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees C
  2. Grease the baking mould with butter and sprinkle some maida
  3. Sift together maida,atta,baking powder and salt
  4. Hull the strawberries and cut them into small pieces
  5. Beat butter and sugar till sugar it becomes creamy in texture
  6. Add eggs one by one
  7. Add vanilla essence
  8. Add curd
  9. Add dry ingredients
  10. Puree few strawberries with little sugar in a blender
  11. Add strawberries and mix lightly
  12. Do not overbeat
  13. Pour the half batter in a baking pan and then a layer of puree and then then batter again
  14. Add the reserved strawberry slices and press down a little
  15. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes till a toothpick inserted comes out clean
My Tip: You can also add nuts to enhance the flavour
