Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maida – 200 gms
  2. Curds/ Yoghurt – 2 cups
  3. 1 pinch salt
  4. Cornflour – 150 gms
  5. oil – 2 tbsp
  6. Gur syrup -
  7. Gur – 2 cups
  8. Water 1 cup
  9. oil to fry

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, take the flour, add salt, then add in the curds, whisk well. Then add lime juice, cornstarch, and finally the oil. Mix everything well together and make sure there are no lumps. The batter needs to be thick.
  2. Take a pan with gur, add just enough water to cover all the gur Keep stirring so that the gur melts. So Gur chasini is ready
  3. Heat oil in a kadai. It is advised that once the oil is hot, reduce heat to medium low. Fry till it’s crisp and starts changing colour. This takes just about a couple of seconds
  4. Soak fried jalebis in gur chasini and it's ready to serve
