Lachha Masala Mathari

Ingredients to make Lachha Masala Mathari

  • wheat flour 1 cup (small)
  • all purpose flour 2 cup (small)
  • melted ghee 4 tablespoon
  • carom seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Warm water as required
  • kashmiri chili powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • oil 1 teaspoon + for frying

How to make Lachha Masala Mathari

  1. Take wheat flour and plain flour in a deep bowl add salt 'carom seed, hot ghee
  2. add warm water gradually and knead thick dough and keep covered aside for 15 minute
  3. mix the dough again to get smooth texture
  4. take a medium size portion of the dough and make a ball roll out like a thin roti/Chapati
  5. add 1 tablespoon oil and spread all over .then sprinkle some salt (very little as salt already added to dough) and red chili powder , cumin powder .
  6. now roll roti gently and cut into small pieces with the help of knife
  7. make a round ball out of it and roll it like thin puri
  8. make all matharis and deep fry in hot oil on low medium heat till golden and crisp
  9. tranfer them on absorbent paper and let them cool completely . they are ready to serve or store
