Lau ghonto

Ingredients to make Lau ghonto

  • lauki 1 medium. Peeled and finely chopped
  • Green chilies
  • salt
  • sugar
  • Dry red chillies
  • jeera
  • Mung dal washed

How to make Lau ghonto

  1. Finely chop the lauki and keep aside in water
  2. Heat oil in pan
  3. Add jeera and dry red chilies
  4. Add the washed dal and fry
  5. Add the lauki and stir
  6. Add green chillies, salt and sugar
  7. Cover it with a lid and cook on the low flame till it softens
  8. Remove from heat and add a tsp of ghee (optional)
  9. Garnish with coriander
