Ingredients to make Crispy plantain fries

  • Plantain - 1
  • salt - as per our taste
  • chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder- a pinch
  • lemon juice- 3 drops

How to make Crispy plantain fries

  1. Boil plantain in pressure cooker for 1 whistle
  2. Let it cool and remove skin and cut into long strips
  3. Heat oil in non stick pan and add these plantain strips.
  4. Don't disturb for few minutes. Once it changes to golden brown, flip to other side.
  5. Sprinkle salt, chilli powder and turmeric.
  6. Mix gently and switch off the stove and add lemon juice and coriander leaves.
  7. Now transfer it into a bowl and serve.

My Tip:

Don't overcook plantain. If soft, we cannot get crispy plantain fries.
