About Roshogolla/ Rasgulla Recipe

Roshogolla/ Rasgulla

Ingredients to make Roshogolla/ Rasgulla

  • sugar 500 grams
  • water 2 cups
  • cottage cheese (paneer) 250 grams

How to make Roshogolla/ Rasgulla

  1. Bring the sugar to boil in the water in a pressure cooker. Stir the sugar until it dissolves and then let the syrup boil
  2. Strain the syrup. Put back in the pressure cooker. Knead the cottage cheese into a soft dough and shape into balls of desired size. Remember that the cottage cheese will expand with cooking
  3. Drop Carefully into the boiling Syrup. Place lid on the cooker and cook under pressure for 5-6mins. For Light Sponge Roshogolla, remove pressure cooker from heat after 5min and cool the cooker with the lid under running water. This ensures roundness
  4. When the cooker is cool, remove lid and gently remove rosogolla. Serve hot and fresh.
