Beetroot Shahi Pulav

Ingredients to make Beetroot Shahi Pulav

  • 2 cups of basmati rice
  • 1 cup of Beetroot
  • 1 Cup of Curd
  • 1 cup of french beans
  • 1 tsp each of dalchini(cinnamon), zeera, black pepper, cloves, flower, poppy seeds
  • Salt as per the taste
  • 1 cup of onions
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • Garam masala as required.
  • Green chillies for spiciness

How to make Beetroot Shahi Pulav

  1. Soak the basmati rice for 10 minutes.
  2. Now in a cooker add little ghee and add jeera,dalchini(cinnamon),cloves,poppy seeds,flower ,little garam masala and saute for some time. Add green chillies, onions and saute for some time.
  3. Now add beetroot, French beans and rice in the cooker.
  4. Now add 5 cups of water, add salt and close the lid.
  5. After two whistles stop the flame and open the lid.
  6. The pulav is ready to be served with raita.
