Ingredients to make Kanchipuram idli

  • 1. Idli batter- 1 bowl
  • 2. Curd- 3 tbsp
  • 3. Cashew nuts- 8 - 9(broken)
  • 4. Salt as per taste
  • 5. Green chillies- 1-2
  • 6. Desi ghee- 1 tsp
  • 7. Turmeric powder- A pinch

How to make Kanchipuram idli

  1. Take Idli batter in bowl and add curd into it. Mix it well.
  2. Now heat the pan and pour desi ghee .
  3. Add green chilli, cashewnut and saute it then add pinch of turmeric powder.
  4. Now pour the tempering into the curd mixed idli batter.
  5. Add salt and mix all things properly.
  6. Now pour the batter in the greased idli mould and steam it.
  7. After steaming take out the mould and let it cool down.
  8. Now demould the idlis and enjoy with coconut chutney or your favourite chutney.
