Ingredients to make Oats Tikkis or Oats Patties or Oats cutlets (Healthy Tikki)

  • 1 cup - Oats
  • 1/2 cup - onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup - poha
  • 1/4 cup - cilantro finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp - green chili and ginger paste
  • 1/4 tsp - mango powder
  • 1/4 tsp - red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp - coriander powder
  • oil for shallow frying
  • salt as per taste

How to make Oats Tikkis or Oats Patties or Oats cutlets (Healthy Tikki)

  1. Soak poha for 5 minutes in water and drain. Blend oats in a blender to make oats powder
  2. Mix oats powder, drained poha, green chili paste, spices, onion, cilantro and water. Mix well and make dough.
  3. Divide into equal parts and make patties or tikkis.
  4. Saute them on a non stick pan. Use a little oil on both sides.
  5. Make sure the tikkis become golden brown and crispy. Cook on medium gas.
  6. Serve with sauce or any chutney.

My Tip:

You can add vegetables, corn, peanuts, paneer and cheese. Instead of poha, boiled potato can also be used. You can also deep fry the tikkis
