Ingredients to make Khamni

  • Prepared dhoklas- 1 cup
  • Onion- 1 medium
  • Oil- 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds- 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice- 1 tsp
  • Sugar- 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • Turmeric- 1/2 tsp
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Sev for garnishing
  • Coriander for garnishing

How to make Khamni

  1. Crumble the dhoklas nicely with hands.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds.
  3. Add finely chopped onions. Let them cook properly.
  4. Now add turmeric and chilli powder.
  5. Add crumbled dhokla mixture, lemon juice, sugar, salt.
  6. Add a spoon of water to prevent sticking of dhokla to bottom of pan.
  7. Mix properly. You don't need to cook much as dhoklas are already cooked.
  8. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves and fine sev.
