Ingredients to make Rajasthani kadhi

  • curd 150 gms (sour)
  • gram flour 100 gms
  • Greenchilli 2-3 crushed
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 tsp ghee
  • Black mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Curry patta 5-6
  • red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • water 2-3 cups
  • Fresh chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp hing

How to make Rajasthani kadhi

  1. Mix curd and gram flour
  2. Whisk it properly, it should be like paste
  3. Add water and whisk again, it should be lump free
  4. Add green chilli, salt .
  5. Keep on flame and keep on stirring
  6. Stir continuously till first boil
  7. Then keep on slow flame
  8. Let it cook for at least 15 minutes
  9. In small pan pour ghee, let it become warm, add hing, add cumin seeds, add mustard seeds, add fenugreek seeds and add curry patta leaves
  10. Add this to boiling kadhi carefully
  11. Now in small bowl take one tsp of ghee, make it warm, add red chilli powder and add 2 tsp of water
  12. While serving pour this on kadhi
  13. Add fresh chopped coriander leaves
  14. Serve hot with theplas, khichdi

My Tip:

Sour curd gives more good taste to this kadhi
