Lemon Iced Tea

Ingredients to make Lemon Iced Tea

  • 4 large lemons
  • 1/2 teaspoon- lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or you can use honey as well)
  • Few fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 3 tablespoon- tea (or you can use tea bags)
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Few ice cubes (or you can use mint ice cubes)

How to make Lemon Iced Tea

  1. Take a saucepan and add 4 cups of water.
  2. Bring to boil and tea leaves.
  3. Lower heat and simmer 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
  5. Strain the iced-tea and let it cool to room temperature.
  6. Fill the jar/ glass with some ice cubes, lemon wedges and mint leaves.
  7. Pour the ice tea into the jar/ glass.
  8. Now and lemon juice and lemon zest until dissolved or mixed.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator until cold.
My Tip: Sugar can be replaced with honey to make the iced-tea even more healthier. I am allergic to honey so I prefer to use sugar. You can add some mint ice cubes for extra kick to your iced-tea.
