Ingredients to make Shahi moong dal mithai..

  • Moong dal 1 cup
  • Ghee 1 cup
  • Full cream milk 1 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 cup or as per taste
  • Cardamom powder as per taste
  • RAISINS
  • Cashews
  • Almonds

How to make Shahi moong dal mithai..

  1. Rinse moong dal properly and spread it on a cloth to dry for 10 -15 mins under fan.
  2. After its dried, dry roast until it turns bit darker in colour, by stiring constantly on a very low flame, taking care it doesn't burn.
  3. Now let this roasted dal cool for sometime and grind into a fine powder.
  4. Take a non-stick pan, add all ghee to it, when it gets warm, add moong dal powder into it.
  5. Saute it for sometime by continuous stiring, on a very low flame.
  6. Add water and mix it properly.
  7. Add in milk and sugar and mix it very fast, taking care no lumps are formed.
  8. Now add in dry fruits and mix properly.
  9. Keep stirring till the milk and water dries.
  10. Grease a plate with ghee and spread this evenly.
  11. Cut in desired shape and set it for sometime in your refrigerator.
  12. Garnish with dry fruits and enjoy..
My Tip: Use non-stick pan only, as its easier while stirring..to avoid sticking at sides.
