Aloo gosht shorba

Ingredients to make Aloo gosht shorba

  • 1/2 kg Mutton
  • 2 Big potatoes
  • 1 big onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red chilli powder
  • 2-3 tbsp Thick curd
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper corn
  • 1 big Black Cardomom
  • Few bay leaves
  • Oil for cooking
  • Chopped Coriander leaves

How to make Aloo gosht shorba

  1. Wash mutton with fresh water & drain, keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a cooker, add chopped onions and fry golden, then add cumin seeds, black pepper, bay leaves and fry.
  3. Add mutton with ginger garlic paste, cook till raw smell vanishes.
  4. Add all the spices powder, leaving Garam masala and roast well, add curd too and mix well.
  5. Add little water to cook meat pieces, close cooker lid & let it whistle two times and simmer the flame.
  6. After a while switch off the gas and let it cool.
  7. Open and check & add poatoes if it's not done can open cook for a few more minutes, lastly add garam masala powder, garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Enjoy with roti or naan.
My Tip: Add Garam masala at the last to keep the aroma strong in it
