Ingredients to make Dal Vadai .

  • 1 cup Chana dal (Bengal gram)
  • 2 Red chillies
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 1 Big onion
  • 1/2 Bunch coriander
  • 1/2 table spoon Cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/2 table spoon Fennel seeds(saunf)
  • 1 spring Curry leave

How to make Dal Vadai .

  1. Soak chana dal and red chillies for 4 hours
  2. Grind coarsely soaked dal and red chilli with one green chilli, cumin, fennel seeds, curry leaves
  3. In a bowl add finely chopped onion, coriander leaves and coarsely ground mixture
  4. Flattern over your palm
  5. Heat oil in a kadhai
  6. Fry untill golden

My Tip:

Cooking Vada in medium heat for longer time makes the vada crisp But while dropping the vada in oil it should be hot.
