Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice Soaked - 1 Cup
  2. Moong Dal Soaked - 1/2 Cup
  3. Tomato - 1
  4. Bay Leaves - 3
  5. Green Chili -2
  6. Coriander leaves - For Garnish ( 2 tablespoon chopped)
  7. Fresh Green Garlic - 1/2 Cup
  8. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Garam Masala - 1/2 Tablespoon
  10. Salt - To taste
  11. Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
  12. Lemon Juice - 3 Tablespoon
  13. Hing - 1Pinch
  14. Ghee - 3Tablespoon
  15. Whole Red Chilies - 3

Instructions

  1. Pour water in cooker add moong dal, rice, salt, haldi and give three whistles.
  2. In pan heat ghee, add tejpata, curry leaves, jeera, chopped tomato and all the dry ingredients mentioned above. Cook till tomato becomes soft.
  3. Open the cooker and take out the cooked dal and rice in pan. Mix well. Add some water if needed. Add chopped green garlic, lemon juice and mix well.
  4. Now in tadka pan heat some oil and add hing , whole red chili and pour on the ready khichra. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  5. Serve hot with curd.
