Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat Rawa - 2 Cups
  2. Besan - 1/2 Cup
  3. Cucumber, grated - 1 Cup
  4. Carrot, grated - 1 Cup
  5. Garlic, crushed - 2 tsp
  6. Ginger, grated - 1 tsp
  7. Dhania Powder - 2 tsp
  8. Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric - 3/4 tsp
  10. Curd - 2 tbsp
  11. Oil - 2 tbsp
  12. Sesame Seeds, roasted -1 tbsp
  13. Coriander Leaves, finely chopped - 1 tsp
  14. Ajwain - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix wheat rawa and gram flour.
  2. Add Cucumber, Carrot, salt, all the masalas and 1 tbs oil. Mix well. Sprinkle some water and keep aside for some time. ( 5 minutes)
  3. Meanwhile heat water in a steamer and grease a big plate for steaming.
  4. Add curd to the mixture. Add water if needed. Batter should be thick.
  5. Add remaining oil and spread the mixture in greased plate.
  6. Steam for 10 minutes. Let it set for 2 minutes in steamer only.
  7. Now take out the plate, let it cool and cut the diamond shaped Dhokala. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. You can serve it with green chutney and a cup of tea / coffee.
