About Paneer Bhurji Recipe

Paneer bhurji is a very handy dish. This comes to my rescue when I am running short of time and want to cook something delicious. It's tangy and slightly spicy flavors go along well with rotis and naans. Of late, I have been enjoying this dish with home made Paneer.

Paneer Bhurji

Ingredients to make Paneer Bhurji

  • paneer - 250grams
  • onions - 2
  • tomato - 3
  • green chilly - 2
  • ginger garlic paste - 1/4tspn
  • coriander leaves - handful
  • cumin powder - 1/4th tspn
  • coriander powder - 1/2tspn
  • turmeric powder - 1/4th tspn
  • chilly powder - 1/2tspn
  • lemon - few drops
  • salt according to taste.

How to make Paneer Bhurji

  1. In a nonstick vessel, take some oil, add finely chopped onion slices and green chilly pieces. Fry till golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. Now add the tomato cubes. Fry well till it leaves oil on sides of pan.
  2. Add all the spices and fry for few seconds. Make a rough coarse mixture of paneer using mixer grinder/ hand blender. Add the paneer and fry well. Add lemon juice.
  3. Add half a glass of water. Cook till you reach desired consistency.
  4. Garnish with fine chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or naan.

My Tip:

Note: Spices can be varied according to ones choice. You may add few pieces of capsicum. It's optional.
