Gum berry / Lesora Pickle

Ingredients to make Gum berry / Lesora Pickle

  • Gum berry - 1/2 kg
  • Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • Vinegar - 4 tbsp
  • Salt - 3-4 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 2 tbsp
  • Fenugreek seeds - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard oil - 1/2 cup

How to make Gum berry / Lesora Pickle

  1. Blanch gum berry for 5 minutes in a pot boil 1 L of water then drain water. Let the berries cool and dry.
  2. In a mixing bowl add salt, turmeric, red chilli, cumin, mustard, fenugreek, garlic, vinegar and mix together.
  3. Coat the gum berries with this mixture put in glass jar.
  4. Keep it for a week in sunlight. You can start consuming the pickle after that.
