Dhokla.

Ingredients to make Dhokla.

  • Besan/ gram flour 1cup
  • 1tbsp rava [semolina]
  • Salt to taste
  • 1tsp Lemon juice
  • 1tsp eno sachet
  • 1/2tbsp grated ginger
  • 4 Green chilli
  • 1/4cup curd
  • Water
  • 2tsp mustard seeds
  • 20 Curry Leaves
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • 2tbsp oil
  • 1/4cup Water
  • 2tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1tsp Sugar

How to make Dhokla.

  1. Grind green chilli and ginger garlic adding water to smooth paste.
  2. Fill the cooker with enough water heat it in low flame..grease a round pan with oil.
  3. Sieve besan flour and transfer it to bowl, add sooji ginger chilli garlic paste lemon juice salt and curd ,with a spoon mix it well.
  4. Add water to make the batter of desired consistency and no lump should be left.let the water boil in the cooker.add eno to the batter just before transferring it to cooker.
  5. Place a trivet in the pressure cooker.
  6. Transfer the content to the pan close the lid without the whistle. switch the flame to low flame
  7. Cook for 12-15minutes.check dhokla by inserting toothpick
  8. Let it cool for few minutes
  9. Remove dhokla from pan
  10. For tempering heat oil add musturd seeds Curry leaves green chilli .add Hing then water.let it boil for few seconds.pour over dhokla and cut into squares.
  11. You can garnish with chopped coriander
