Ingredients to make Mango Shrikhand/Amrakhand

  • Mango Pulp 1.5 Bowl
  • Curd 1 KG
  • Powdered Sugar 6 Tblspns
  • Tutti Fruti 50 Gms
  • Any Dry Fruit 25 Gms

How to make Mango Shrikhand/Amrakhand

  1. Take an smooth nylon cloth and place it on a bowl, pour the curd in a cloth, and remove the excess water.
  2. Once the water is easily drained tie it a tight knot and hang it at dry place for atleast 5 hours.
  3. Once it is hanged for 5 hours, remaining water would also drain and curd would again thick creamy consistency
  4. After 5 hours, take the cloth, open the knot and remove the curd in a medium size bowl.
  5. Start beating the curd slowly with the hand beater, or roll it smoothly with spoon, keep adding Sugar in the same while beating.
  6. Once complete Sugar is added, put Tutti Fruti, dry fruits and Mango Pulp in the same, and keeping mixing till the mango pulp gets absorbed and Curd, Mango Pulp and sugar have got mixed properly
  7. Remove the mixture in a serving bowl and decorate it with either Mango pieces or any other fruit or Dry fruit or you can even keep it plain.
  8. Freeze it for minimum 1.5 hours and than Serve chilled.
