Fresh cherry jam

Ingredients to make Fresh cherry jam

  • Fresh cherries 800 grams
  • White sugar 400 grams
  • Juice of 1 lime

How to make Fresh cherry jam

  1. Remove the stems and pit the cherries
  2. Mix in the sugar and lime juice
  3. Let it sit for 5 minutes
  4. Grind it into a smooth paste
  5. Pour it into a heavy bottom utensil and heat on medium flame until it reduces to less than half of the original quantity
  6. Drop a little on a cold plate and check the consistency
  7. Switch the flame off
  8. Let it cool a little and transfer into a clean glass jar when still warm
  9. Let it cool completely and cover with the lid
  10. Refrigerate and use
