Oats, Beetroot and Sweet Potato Paratha

Ingredients to make Oats, Beetroot and Sweet Potato Paratha

  • 2 grated sweet potatoes
  • 1 grated beetroot
  • 3 cups oats
  • 1 finely chopped red onion
  • 1 finely chopped tomato
  • 2 finely chopped green chilies
  • 3 to 4 grated garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • salt as per taste
  • Oil or ghee for roasting paratha
  • 3 cups multigrain flour
  • 1 Cup water
  • chopped Cilantro
  • Handful of sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

How to make Oats, Beetroot and Sweet Potato Paratha

  1. First, take a deep bowl and add grated sweet potato, beet root and oats to it.
  2. Add flour and all the seasonings to it.
  3. Now add chopped cilantro, lemon juice, sesame seeds and mix everything properly.
  4. Add 1 tbsp oil and a little water and make small balls out of the mixture.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan or Tawa. Keep it on a medium flame.
  6. Take prepared balls and roll parathas by dusting flour on the surface on which you are rolling.
  7. Use flour if required in between while rolling parathas.
  8. Place it on a pan or Tawa.
  9. Let it cook partially on one side and flip it.
  10. Spread little oil or ghee on the other side and flip it again till you see light golden brown spots.
  11. Prepare parathas in the same manner and take it on a serving plate.
  12. Remember to roast paratha on a medium flame for better results.
  13. Serve it with combinations of your choice by accompanying them with pickle, ketchup, raita or just have them as it is.
