ABOUT Banana Chocolate Almonds ice cream- The vegan version. RECIPE

The banana chocolate almond is a creamy, wholesome, guilt free delicious chocolate treat. This is a no milk, no cream recipe. Milk obtained from almonds is used in this recipe to make it super healthy and less in calories.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 big ripe bananas
  2. 1/2 bowl almonds for preparation of almond milk
  3. 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  4. 2 tsp fine sugar
  5. 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  6. 2 tsp Hershey's choco spread
  7. For the Garnish
  8. 2 tsp chocolate chips
  9. 1 tsp Almonds blanched and chopped
  10. 1 tsp chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the bananas
  2. Put banana slices in a zip lock bag or a covered container and keep in freezer for 4 hours.
  3. Soak half cup almonds in a bowl of water for 2 hours.
  4. Soak 1 tsp almonds separately, peel and chop.
  5. Grind the soaked almonds until the mixture becomes creamy, add water if required and churn again. Almond paste is ready.
  6. Take out the frozen banana pieces from the freezer and put them in a food processor.
  7. Add vanilla extract and almond milk, cocoa powder and sugar and blend.
  8. Add Hershey choco spread and blend again till the mixture becomes gooey and fluffy.
  9. Pour the ready chocolate mixture in a freezing tray or an air-tight container and freeze for 6-7 hours.
  10. Prior to serving, let ice cream sit at room temp for 2 minutes to soften enough for easy scooping.
  11. Garnish with chocolate syrup, choco chips and chopped almonds.
  12. Enjoy the chilled banana chocolate almond ice cream.
