ABOUT Creamcheese Penguins RECIPE

A very cute appetizer and a sure shot hit with your friends and relatives. A perfect snack for Diwali.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 8 black olives pitted(hollowed) to form lower body
  2. package cream cheese softened
  3. 8 black olives pitted to form upper body.
  4. 1 carrot cut into thick circles

Instructions

  1. Slit the olives lengthwise to make the lower body. Carefully spoon in 1 teaspoon of cream cheese into each olive. Dab the excess cheese with tissue paper.
  2. Slice the carrot into thick circles. Cut a small bit out of each carrot slice to form the feet. Save the cut piece and press into center of olive to form the beak for upper body(neck).
  3. Set an olive, vertically, large hole side down, onto a carrot slice. Then, set another olive with toothpick, horizontally onto the vertical olive, adjusting so that the beak, cream cheese chest and the feet line up.
  4. Secure with a toothpick.Chill it in refrigerator and enjoy your appetizer with choice of your drink.
