Ingredients to make Gulabi Onion kheer..

  • 1/4 cup chopped white onion
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 generous pinch of saffron soaked in water
  • 5-6 Almonds Blanch peel and sliced
  • 5-6 pista blanch peel and sliced
  • 4 tbsp condensed milk or as per your taste
  • Water to boil onion
  • 1 tsp rose or kewara water
  • pinch of cardamom powder
  • 1 small beetroot peel and boil it.

How to make Gulabi Onion kheer..

  1. First peel and chopped white onion finely.
  2. Boil it in water for 10 minutes ..Strain it and keep it aside. after boiling rawness and smell of onion will goes out..
  3. Heat a pan . Add ghee. Fry these onion in ghee.
  4. Add milk and mix well.
  5. Add condensed milk and sliced nuts. Add saffron water.
  6. Add 1 tbsp boil beetroot water
  7. Mix well. Boil it for another 10 minutes on low medium flame.
  8. When kheer become thick Add rose/kewara water mix well.
  9. Garnish it with crushed pistachios, and saffron.
  10. Serve hot or chill..

My Tip:

White onion has less pungent so prefer white onion. after boiling it raw smell of onion will go so its necessary.
