Ingredients to make Murmura ka poha

  • Murmura / puff rice 250 gms
  • Cucumber chopped in cubes 2
  • Tomato chopped in cubes 2
  • Green chilli 2 finely chopped
  • Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric pwd 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves few
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon 1/2
  • Roasted groundnut crushed 1/4 cup
  • Oil/ghee to fry 1 tbsp

How to make Murmura ka poha

  1. Pour all the murmura in a big seive and wash it under running water till it get soft. Keep it aside till all water drains.
  2. Take a frying pan and add oil/ghee to heat.
  3. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilli, cucumber, tomato and salt. Keep stirring till cucumber and tomato gets half cooked.
  4. Now add turmeric powder and groundnuts.
  5. Finally add soften murmura and lemon juice and mix well.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with bhujia sev.
