Ingredients to make Phirni Kheer Kesari

  • 500 millilitre whole milk
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 /4 teaspoon cardamom crushed
  • 3-4 strands saffron threads
  • 3/4 cup sugar or as per taste
  • 1-2 teaspoon alomond pistachios powder or whole

How to make Phirni Kheer Kesari

  1. Boil milk.
  2. Add sugar to it mix well and stir on a slow the flame.
  3. Grind cooked rice to a paste.
  4. Keep saffron and cardamom ready.
  5. Keep milk back on flame and add rice paste and top with saffron threads.
  6. Now keep stirring to avoid lumps.
  7. Add crushed cardamom.
  8. As it's cooking, stir and add the almond pistachio powder.
  9. Cook with care so that milk does not stick to bottom of the vessel.
  10. Remove to cool and garnish with almond pistachio chopped finely.
  11. Serve hot or cold.

My Tip:

If at any point you feel it is not creamy and milk is thin add half or 1 cup condensed milk as soon as possible.
