Semolina Kheer

Ingredients to make Semolina Kheer

  • Milk- 1 litre
  • Semolina- 60 grams
  • Cardamom- 2
  • Ghee or clarified butter- 3 tablespoon
  • Mawa or khoya- 100 grams
  • Sugar- 1 1/2 cup
  • Pistachios- 3 tablespoon chopped
  • Almonds- 3 tablespoon chopped

How to make Semolina Kheer

  1. In a wok, heat ghee or clarified butter. Add semolina and cardamom in it and sauté it for 5 minutes. Stir continuously and don't let the semolina turn into brown color.
  2. Now in a same wok sauté mawa or khoya for 2 minutes.
  3. In a vessel add milk. Give it a boil on a high flame.
  4. Now add semolina and sugar and stir continuously for 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Now add khoya or mawa and mix it well. Keep stirring so it won't get burn from the bottom side.
  6. When kheer looks thick then switch off the flame and add chopped pistachios and almonds.
  7. Take them out in a serving bowl and keep it in the refrigerator.
  8. Serve it chilled

My Tip:

You can adjust sweetness as per your choice.
