Fruity Nutty Raita

Ingredients to make Fruity Nutty Raita

  • 200 gms curd
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 1 orange segments peeled
  • 5-6 walnuts chopped
  • 5-6 cashewnuts chopped
  • Salt or sugar as per taste

How to make Fruity Nutty Raita

  1. In a bowl, whisk the curd to smooth texture. To this add the peeled and grated carrot.
  2. Next add in orange segments along with chopped walnuts and cashew nuts. Mix well and add the seasonings.
  3. If you prefer it salty, add ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp cumin powder, a pinch of raita masala, etc. If you prefer it sweet, then add 1 tsp sugar and mix well.
  4. Serve chilled and garnish with orange segments and walnuts.
My Tip: Add ¼ cup orange juice to enhance the flavour. The sweetness of oranges and the crunch of carrot and nuts impart an awesome flavour to our dish.
