Ragda Pattice

Ingredients to make Ragda Pattice

  • White peas boiled: 1 cup
  • Boiled potatoes: 3 to 4
  • ginger-garlic paste :1 tsp
  • chilli powder : 1 tsp
  • coriander powder : 1 tsp
  • garam masala : 1 tsp
  • chaat masala : a pinch
  • onion: 1 chopped
  • tomato: 1 chopped
  • oil for frying the pattice
  • Bread crumbs
  • Corainder leaf for garnishing
  • Sev for garnish
  • mint chuntey to serve with
  • Sweet chuntey to serve with

How to make Ragda Pattice

  1. Soak the white peas overnight.
  2. Pressure cook the white peas with a little turmeric and salt.
  3. Boil the potatoes.
  4. In a bowl add in boiled potatoes and spice powders, add in bread crumbs and make a patty out of it.
  5. In a pan, add oil shallow fry the patty till golden brown in colour on both the sides.
  6. Making the ragda.
  7. On a medium heat, add ginger garlic paste, add in onion and tomato.
  8. Add in the spice powders, mix well when oil start leaving the pan, add in the white peas, add in the required water and allow it to boil.
  9. In a plate place the pattice pour Ragda on it garnish with onion mint chuntey, sweet chuntey and sev and some coriander leaves.

My Tip:

Vegetable masala gives a spicy taste to the Ragda.
