Ingredients to make Shami kebab

  • Mutton boneless - 1/2 kg
  • Chane ki dal - 1 small bowl
  • Egg- 1
  • Oil to shallow fry
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder -1 tsp
  • Meat masala - 1 tsp
  • Handful of coriander leaves, chopped
  • Water as required to cook the mutton
  • Home made garam masala powder- 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chillies - 3

How to make Shami kebab

  1. Take a cooker and add the mutton, dal and all the spices together. Cook till the meat is tender, see to it that there is no excess of water. Once cooked, make sure to drain the water completely.
  2. Then cool the mixture and grind it to a fine kebab, while the kebab is grinding, break and add 1 whole egg.
  3. Transfer this mixture into a bowl.
  4. Take a nonstick tawa, add oil to shallow fry and flatten the kebab mixture into desired shapes and fry on both sides.
  5. Serve hot with any desired chutney.
