Why not substitute Wheat flour with All purpose flour when using a healthy way of preparation like Baking ? So here presenting A Mouthwatering Calzone with homemade Pizza dough using all goodness of Wheat enhanced with Spinach and A protein rich Corn.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For Pizza dough
  2. Wheat flour 2 cups
  3. Yeast 1 teaspoon
  4. Water 1 cup
  5. Sugar 2 teaspoon
  6. Olive oil 1 tablespoon
  7. For filling
  8. Spinach chopped 2 cups
  9. Boiled coarse grind corn 1 cup
  10. Mozzarella cheese 1 cup
  11. Garlic crushed 2 teaspoon
  12. Egg for egg wash 2/ milk for milk wash 1/2 cup
  13. Pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Fresh basil chopped fine 1/4 Cup
  16. Pasta seasoning 1 teaspoon
  17. Chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  18. Butter melted 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water, yeast and sugar in a bowl. Keep aside for 10 to 15 minutes or till fluffy.
  2. Take wheat flour in a bowl. Make well in a center, add yeast water.
  3. Mix with a fork or finger tips. Knead a flour. Apply 1 tsp oil fold it inside, keep covered with a damp cloth in a vessel at a warm place
  4. After half an hour, take out the flour. Punch the flour on a flour dusted surface.
  5. Again cover it and keep for another 15 minutes.
  6. Pre heat Oven at 230 degrees centigrade
  7. Filling.
  8. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped Spinach, saute on a medium high flame.
  9. Add corn. Add all ingredients mentioned ( except Cheese).
  10. Saute for 3 minutes. Turn off the flame, add Cheese. Your filling is ready.
  11. Now roll your Pizza dough like a Roti.
  12. Keep a table spoon of filling ( will depend upon the size of your rolled roti).
  13. Fold it and seal by applying water.
  14. Make tiny cuts on edges with a fork. Be careful not to Pierce near the fillings. Give an egg wash or milk wash. ( I gave milk wash.)
  15. Now transfer your Calzone on a baking tray on parchment paper.
  16. Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  17. Your delicious mouth watering Calzone is ready to serve.
  18. Serve with Marinara sauce.
