Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Finely chopped mixed veggies (Beans, carrots, colored capsicum) 1 1/2 cup
  2. Sprouted moong ( green lentil), lightly steamed or microwaved for 5-6 minutes 2 cup
  3. Medium size potatoes, boiled and mashed 2-3
  4. Big onions, finely chopped 2
  5. Green chilies, finely chopped 3-4
  6. Oats 1/2 cup
  7. Green coriander leaves, finely chopped( optional)1/4 cup
  8. Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  9. Black pepper /red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  12. Chaat masala powder 1/2-1 teaspoon
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Garam masala powder 1/4 teaspoon
  15. Oil

Instructions

  1. First of all coarsly grind sprouted moong . Don’t make its paste , grind for few pulses without adding any water. Keep aside for later use.Heat some oil in a wok, add chopped onions and chilies.
  2. Let them fry till golden, now add ginger garlic paste (optional) and saute for 2 mins. Add all dry spice powder except chaat masala .
  3. Now add chopped mixed veggies and some salt, saute for 4-5 mins. Cover and cook till veggies are tender.
  4. Add oats and saute for 3-4 mins. Now add ground moong and saute for 4-5 mins.Add mashed potatoes again saute for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Now add  chaat masala and adjust salt.Finally add coriander leaves and mix well. Switch off the flame and your mixture for Kabab is ready.
  6. Let it chill in fridge for 1 hr.Now make desired shape of kabab from mixture . I made heart shape using cookie cutter.
  7. shallow fry on a non stick tawa till nice golden on both sides.Your nice tender and delicious kabab is ready to be served with any chutney or sauce.
  8. I served with tomato, coriander, and mint chutney.It is a healthy shallow fried cutlets, great finger food for kids. It can be kept inside a burger bun or eaten as it is with tomato ketchup or chutney
