Spinach and cheese pasta

Ingredients to make Spinach and cheese pasta

  • 200 grams dried pasta of your choice
  • water to boil
  • 200 grams spinach
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 tblsp butter
  • 100 ml low fat cream
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 50 grams cheddar cheese
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese

How to make Spinach and cheese pasta

  1. In a large pan, boil water and add salt to it. Add in the pasta and boil till al dente. Keep aside.
  2. Clean the spinach and blanch it in hot water for three minutes. Immediately rinse it under cold water to retain the colour.
  3. Heat butter in a pan and add garlic to it. Toss the spinach with a bit of salt and pepper and add the cream to it. Add in the nutmeg and throw in the cheddar cheese.
  4. Add all the past and toss it well till the cream and sticks to each pasta. Turn off the heat. Transfer into a bowl.
  5. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on it. Eat while it's hot.
