ABOUT Pineapple Peel Wine RECIPE

A great tasting wine with the peels of a pineapple with added spices.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Pineapple peel- from a pineapple
  2. water- 3 cups (boiled & cooled)
  3. sugar- 2 & 1\2 cup
  4. cloves-3
  5. cinnamon-1 inch piece
  6. Dry yeast-1\4 tsp
  7. egg white- from an egg

Instructions

  1. Boil 3 cups water and allow it to cool.Wash the pineapple in outside and peel it.Use the inside pulp to make any pineapple recipes or eat it as such.Use the peel to make this wine.
  2. To a clean dried glass jar add in sugar, cooled water, peel, 2 pineapple pieces, cinnamon, cloves, yeast.Mix well with a wooden spatula and keep in cool dry place.
  3. On 5th day add slightly beaten egg white to it and keep it again for 5-6 days.
  4. Then on the 10th day filter the wine through a muslin cloth without disturbing the waste settled at the bottom.Pls, don't squeeze the content in the cloth.
  5. The filtered wine will be cloudy.To get a clear wine you have to keep it for another 2-3 weeks till all waste settles at the bottom.
  6. Without disturbing the bottom pour the clear wine in a clean dry bottle.
