Instructions

  1. First mix warm milk with sugar and yeast and keep aside for activating 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl take all purpose flour, oil, salt and the yeast mix and Knead for 10 minutes. It will be sticky initially but gradually will become soft and manageable. Keep it covered for at least 2 hours in winter and 1 and 1/2 hour in summer.
  3. Meanwhile, dry roast the cinnamon and make a powder with sugar. This is cinnamon sugar.

  5. Now after 2 hours take out the dough and place it in a flat space. Again Knead for 2 minutes
  6. Take out small balls and make even sized roti (Indian flatbread) but in square or rectangle shape. Now smear melted butter over one roti and place another over it.
  7. Continue repeating this for all rotis. Now roll them together with soft hand.
  8. This is the homemade puff pastry sheet. Now cut stripes from it. Place apple slices over it. Fold it from bottom to cover apple slices half way. Brush butter and sprinkle some cinnamon sugar over it.
  9. Now start rolling from one side to another. It will take a rose shape.
  10. Preheat oven 180C for 10 minutes. Sprinkle some more cinnamon sugar over it. Place these roses on cupcake tray or silicon cupcake molds and bake for 15 min or until nicely baked.
  11. Serve hot with some butter brushing or at room temperature.
