Ingredients to make Bedmi puri with Chole sabzi

  • For the Urad dal-
  • Red chilli powder a per taste
  • Saunf powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt for atta dough
  • Oil for frying puri
  • For chole-
  • Chole boiled with haldi and salt 1 cup
  • Onion 2
  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tspn
  • Tomato 1 small
  • Chole masala 2 tspn
  • Red chilli powder 1 tspn
  • a pinch of Hing
  • Urad dal paste 1/2 cup
  • Atta for puri 2 cup
  • salt as per taste

How to make Bedmi puri with Chole sabzi

  1. First for the puri, make Atta dough using salt and water.
  2. In the urad dal paste add all the powdered masala but no salt. Urad dal paste consistency should be thick.
  3. Heat oil. Make a small round ball of atta dough and in that spread the urad dal stuffing.
  4. Fold it. Take a polythene and grease it with oil. Put this stuffed ball on it. Now roll it out like a small puri.
  5. Fry until golden in color.
  6. For chole-
  7. Make a paste of onion, ginger garlic, tomato, red chilli powder.
  8. Heat a pan add 2 tspn oil. Add this masala paste.
  9. Cook the masala until the raw smell goes off. Then add chole masala. Cook for a minute.
  10. Then add boiled chole. Cook for 2 more minutes. Then garnish with coriander leaves and turn off the gas. Your chole with puri is ready to serve.
