Pasta Carbonara

Ingredients to make Pasta Carbonara

  • 500 g Spaghetti
  • 8 Pancetta or bacon rashers chopped
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 4 tbsp White Wine
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsely chopped
  • 50g Parmesan Cheese grateda
  • Salt and Ground Pepper to taste

How to make Pasta Carbonara

  1. Cook spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water with 1tbs olive oil . Drain well and set aside
  2. In a large frying pan, cook chopped bacon until slightly crisp and then place them on paper towels to drain excess oil .
  3. Heat remaning olive oil in the frying pan. Add chopped onion and cook until onions become tender. Add minced garlic and wine, cook for a couple of minutes.
  4. Now add the cooked bacon and cooked spaghetti to the pan. Toss to coat well.
  5. Add parmesan cheese and salt, toss again.
  6. Season with pepper and serve hot.
