This is a trdaitional breakfast from Rajasthan, a delicious and filling dish for everyone.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Wheat flour 1cup
  2. Semolina 1/4 cup
  3. Pure Ghee 2 tbsp
  4. Baking Powder/Soda 1/4 tsp
  5. Five Pulses Mixture (moong.chana,urad,massor,tuaar}
  6. Tadka ingredients 2tbsp pure ghee
  7. 2 dry red chillies
  8. coriander seeds 1/ 4 tsp
  9. salt to taste
  10. turmeric
  11. asfoetida a pinch

Instructions

  1. knead the wheat flour and semolina together put the baking powder/soda in it.
  2. Keep this flour aside for half an hour.
  3. Put the daal mixture in cooker add salt and turmeric and allow it to cook on flame for five whistles.
  4. Now make dumplings from the kneaded flour ,
  5. Put some water in a kadai and add the dumplings into it .and put this kadahai on flame an see that the dumplings float on water. Remove the vessel from fire ,
  6. For seasoning put oil in a vessel and put asafoetida and then add coriander seeds allow them to flutter and put red chilliesand add this seasoning to daal,
  7. Remove dumplings from water an bake them in fryer for ten minutes and then serve them with Daal These dumplings are called BAATI
