ABOUT Mee Goreng RECIPE

A fiery and flavorful fried noodle dish which is popular on the street of Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 300g Egg Noodles
  2. 4 Bok Choy heads
  3. 3 Garlic cloves minced
  4. 2 tbsp Dark Sesame oIl
  5. 2 tbsp Chilli paste
  6. 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  7. 2 tbsp Sweet bean sauce
  8. 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  9. Green and red chillies ( for garnish)
  10. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim the Bok choy and cut crosswise into thick strips, about 2 inch each.
  2. Cook noodles in a large pot of boiling water with 1 tsp oil. Drain and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and stir well.
  4. Add salt and bok choy and cook for 5 min.
  5. Combine sugar, chilli paste, lemon juice, sweet bean sauce, soy sauce and dark sesame oil into the pan.
  6. Now add the noodles, season with salt accordingly and toss well.
  7. Garnish with chillies and serve hot.
